Upper Chesapeake Youth Football League September 4th, 2012
Meeting Minutes

Call to Order:  8:12pm  

Board Members/Programs  in Attendance:    Havre de Grace, Edgewood, Cecil County, Jarrettsville, Joppatowne, Hereford, Perry Hall, Fallston, Greg Beaty, Bob Chubb, Bob Elliott,  Tonya Berry, Duvowel Peeker and Debbe Jones.   Meeting Minutes for August were provided for all to review.  Danny motioned to approve, all members in attendance approved minutes.  

President Report:
 
  • Clarified the referee contract regarding their fees.
  • Spoke regarding the Harco Horns and their 11U team.  The team folded and kids are now looking for programs to register with.  Programs have until end of this week to get the information over to Bob for him to update rosters.
  • Program Chairs need to make sure 14U players are in 8th grade and not in HS.  Does not matter if player was held back as long as they are in the 8th grade.
  • Spoke regarding the TT rule.  Some coaches are questioning the referees regarding the rule.  To clarify, Greg read the rule book again to all and coaches must follow what is written.  In December the BOG will need to review the TT rule.
  VP of Rules: Reminded all to get the information in regarding new players into him by Friday September 7th

  • Current balance in account is $6,620.03
  Division Commissioners: No Report  

Old/New Business:
  • Danny brought to the attention of all regarding players wearing metal cleats and advised all to keep a look out for this.  He has had a few players wearing them and requested them to remove cleats.
  • Ian brought up the vote taken during August meeting regarding the Championships/Divisions.  This was not for the executive board to vote on and should have been done by the BOG.  Needs to be discussed again and voted on, all members present agreed.  Tonight’s meeting has enough BOG members present. Ian motioned to have championship games within the 2 divisions and top 6 teams go into playoffs. 
  Yes ---2 Divisions/top 6 teams go into playoffs….Emmorton, Bel Air, Fallston, Joppatowne and HDG   No---3 Divisions as voted on in the August meeting (1White..2 Blue)……Edgewood, Jarrettsville and Aberdeen   Meeting ended @ 8:10pm
