Meeting Minutes

Called to order 7:04pm


Programs in Attendance: Bel Air, Aberdeen, Fallston, Jarrettsville, Conowingo, Hereford, Joppatowne, Cecil, Edgmere, Edgewood, Stembridge, Perry Hall, LTRC, North Harford, Towson, Havre De Grace, Cockeysville.

Executive Board Members in Attendance:
Vince Hagely (VP Rules), Ian Mitchell (VP Scheduling) Meeting opened with January Minute Review. Motion to except Minutes – Vince Hagely and second by Lonnie Spence.

President’s Report: Nothing to report.

VP of Scheduling Report:
 It was decided that UCYFL will be purchasing Scheduling Software

Treasurers Report: 
Account balance - $490.00 No checks were written. New Board will put together budget plan. Keep in mind league fees may change.  

VP of Rules Report:
Rule Change proposal to make 11U unlimited weight was accepted. Vote was 14-1  

Blue Division Report:
Nothing new to report.  

Gold Division Report: Nothing new to report.  

White Division Report:
Nothing new to report.  

Old Business: ~Perry Hall submitted a rule change proposal to eliminate tackle to tackle from all age groups. Proposal to be tabled and voted at the March meeting. There was much discussion and a suggestion was made that we wean into unlimited weights and/or possibly revisit and revise tackle to tackle rules.   ~A second rule change proposal was submitted to revise the 18 point rule to a 24 point rule in all competitive age groups, with the reasoning that the 18 point rule does not allow the backfield enough time.   *Reminder – Rule changes cannot be reversed or changed back for 2 years.  

~Vacant Board Positions:

Treasurer: Nominee – Carisa Reachard – Vote was unanimous.
Secretary: Nominee – Jamie Eckels – Vote was unanimous.
President: Nominee’s –
Jared LaRue (Jarrettsville)
Keith Fletcher (Bel Air)
Ian Mitchell (Fallston)
Vince Hagely (Joppatowne) – Declined  

Vote was 13 in favor of Keith Fletcher  

~Rising Sun has not submitted an application yet. No vote until application is complete.  

New Business:

-Loyola Blakefield & Grey Charles has expressed interest in the league. 
 
-Proposal to have website have functional email capabilities. Master list to be made of all names, positions, emails, and contact info.  

-Need to work on Division placements. It was suggested that Blue Division has to field core 6. (Tabled until registrations start) Need to establish a structure.  

-Keep in mind vendors night is coming up.
